Handthrown by the inimitable Ken Standhardt, and painstakingly shaped with a variety of handmade steel-tipped tools. A true work of art that encompasses hundreds of indentations that dazzle the holder (especially with matcha in it). Ken says they're dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe, but we think you'd be nuts not to lovingly handwash them. Very limited quantities. Made in Eugene, Oregon.
Absolutely gorgeous -- so worth waiting for these to become available again. Such a unique and beautifully executed treasure. I appreciate the prompt shipping and excellent packaging.
1. It's beautiful. It looked great in the on-line picture. It looks even better in reality and is a pleasure to hold.
2. It's functional. You make your matcha or matcha latte in the tumbler. You enjoy drinking it from the tumbler. Simple and elegant.
this standhardt tumbler is exquisite -- the detail is amazing, and the blue glaze inside is perfect against some lovely green breakaway matcha! It is generously sized -- sufficient for whirring your matcha without splashover, and it has a satisfyingly hefty handfeel without being too big or heavy. worth every penny.
I was so excited to see get this product on the mail today. This was packaged nicely with bubble wraps and extra paper wrap to protect it during shipment. Upon opening, I didn't find any cracks or imperfection on the product. The product was well crafted, I love looking at this tumbler while I drink my matcha. It's a good tumbler, insulates heat well enough for me to hold the tumbler. Also it's tall and wide enough to mix/froth the matcha without splashing. It doesn't really show on the picture, but the inner layer of the tumbler is also done well with blue gloss and for mine it looks like a mix of heart/circle shapes. I'm glad to add this tumbler to my tea set.
