I absolutely love this blend. Creamy, smooth no bitter after taste at all.
Great product. Can't wait to try the other blends. Hopefully wont be disappointed since I started on top.
I never had matcha in my life. I'm hooked.
Makes me feel very calm yet very clear and alert. Thank you Eric

I got the set with the Blend 99 and not only do I love the tea, I love the entire process of making my morning and afternoon matcha. Such a soothing way to wake up in the morning!

This has been a great introductory set for me! I find it easy to use at the office where the traditional whisk and bowl method can get a bit messy very quickly if you're not careful. All in all, I'm very pleased - I love matcha.

I jumped in to the Breakaway approach to matcha with both feet and splurged on this set with blend 99. I watched Eric's how-to video and made a great tasting and great looking cup of matcha on the first try. I will keep my matcha bowls and bamboo whisk for special occasions, but this is really quick and convenient.

The design of the creamer / sieve / frother is brilliant and the tea is excellent.

I got this set as a Christmas gift from my wife after experimenting with matcha. As you probably noticed there is a lot of equipment but it all really does help keep it simple while still making a great cup of matcha.
The bamboo scoop is very traditional even though it takes some practice to get the right portion so while I might have an easier time with a spoon the scoop has a certain coolness factor.
The mesh strainer definitely helps to get a smooth consistency without clumping. I have tried it without straining and you have to be a lot more diligent with your mixing to avoid clumping.
The battery powered mixer does a good job of getting a cream froth and gets right down into the pitcher to give a uniform mix (my wife also uses to froth milk for espresso and coffee- heretic!). The mixer does go through batteries fairly quickly and the mixing action decreases as batteries wear down but it sure makes mixing easy.
The ceramic pieces are well made, function very well and have a lot of character. They are definitely hand made so you may be disappointed if you don't appreciate the rustic look and feel of hand shaped pieces but it's a look I prefer. The only things that I don't care for about them is the colors are kind of blah (personal opinion only), and they have a smooth texture that makes them a little slippery for my taste. But I guess I haven't dropped one yet so maybe not that big a problem but I am always worried.
